Timed comments on Minatrix.FM — a new feature for discussing music. Highlight moments in a track, share эмоции, break down mixes, and get precise feedback.
A new update has arrived on Minatrix.FM, making communication around music more intuitive and engaging than ever.
You can now leave comments tied to specific moments in a track.
In other words, every message can be “attached” to an exact point in the composition.
How it works
When you write a comment, the system can automatically capture the current playback position.
As a result:
- the comment becomes linked to a specific second
- other users can jump directly to that moment
- discussions become more precise and meaningful
Why it matters
Accurate feedback for artists
No more vague comments like “somewhere in the middle there’s a great drop”.
Now you can be specific:
“1:32 — this part goes hard 🔥”
Perfect for DJs and mixes
If you upload mixes or radio shows:
- you can mark transitions
- highlight the best moments
- break down a set step by step
More engaging track discussions
Listeners can:
- discuss vocals, drops, and effects
- share reactions at exact moments
- create a real “map of impressions” for each track
Great for learning
This feature is also perfect for:
- analyzing arrangements
- learning DJ techniques
- studying sound design and mixing
What this means for the platform
Minatrix.FM is evolving from just a radio or music catalog into an interactive music environment, where:
- music is discussed in real time
- artists receive more precise feedback
- users become far more engaged
The feature is already live — but this is just the beginning.
We’re continuing to improve time-based comments with new features, UI enhancements, and more ways to interact with music. Importantly, all previously uploaded tracks will also gain support for this feature — over the next week, the system will automatically process the archive and add timeline comments across the entire catalog.
Try it yourself
Upload a track or play any existing one and leave a comment at a specific moment.
You’ll immediately feel the difference.
Let us know in the comments what you think — and what features you’d like to see next.
