Meet the major Minatrix.FM update! A new Android app with social networking features and calls, a smart track recommendation algorithm, and BPM currency rewards for your activity.
Minatrix.FM continues to grow as a music platform for listeners, DJs, artists, and everyone who lives and breathes music. We have completely rebuilt and updated the Android app, improved the social features, added new communication tools, and enhanced the track recommendation algorithms on the website.
Minatrix.FM is now much more than just an app for listening to music. It is a full-featured music community where users can interact with tracks, artists, and each other: like music, leave comments, add tracks to playlists, chat, make calls, receive notifications, and promote their own work through activity.
What’s new in the Minatrix.FM Android app
We have completely updated the Android app: redesigned the interface, improved navigation, added new features, and brought the app closer to a full-scale social music platform.
The update includes:
- A new interface design — the app is now more modern, more convenient, and more visually appealing.
- Push notifications — you can now receive notifications about messages, events, activity, and artist updates.
- Updated private messages — messaging is now more convenient and closer to modern messenger-style communication.
- Voice calls and voice messages — users can communicate not only by text, but also by voice.
- Improved playlist management — it is now easier to save music, create collections, and return to your favorite tracks.
- Social features — user walls, likes, comments, friends, and active interaction within the platform.
- DJ ranking with voting — support your favorite DJs directly from the app and influence their position in the ranking.
- Instant notifications for artist followers — if you follow an artist, you will no longer miss important updates.
- Notification settings — users can choose which notifications they want to receive and when.
The main goal of this update is to make Minatrix.FM a living, breathing music space. Listen, connect, support artists, leave comments, add music to playlists, and help great tracks find their audience.

Website updates: the track recommendation algorithm is changing
In addition to the app, we are also updating Minatrix.FM’s internal algorithms. The main changes affect how tracks are recommended to listeners.
The system will now pay closer attention to presentation quality, activity around a track, and user behavior. We want recommendations to feature more lively, interesting, and well-presented releases backed by real activity.
Why a track may receive fewer plays
If a track is published without cover artwork, it may receive fewer listening recommendations. Cover artwork is an important part of a music release. It helps a track look more professional, attracts listeners’ attention, and increases the chances of someone clicking on it.
A track may also be excluded from the recommendation network if our algorithms detect signs of copyright infringement. If you see a Spotify player instead of the standard Minatrix.FM player, it means the track has not passed our checks for participation in the recommendation system.
Starting from May 21, 2026, another rule applies: tracks that have not reached at least 10 plays will not participate in the promotion and recommendation program. This is done so that tracks entering the promotion system already have a minimum level of initial activity, and so that track promotion reflects interest not only from Minatrix.FM, but also from the artist.
That is why, after publishing a track, we recommend first sharing the link on social media and sending it to friends, followers, and listeners. If the track gains its first plays and does not violate the rules, it automatically receives a better chance of appearing in recommendations.
Activity matters more than ever
Minatrix.FM is focusing on real user participation. We want the platform to grow not only through music uploads, but also through communication, feedback, artist support, and genuine activity.
Likes, comments, reposts, playlist additions, wall posts, music reviews, and participation in platform life help not only other users, but also you personally.
For activity, users earn BPM — the internal currency of Minatrix.FM. BPM can be used within the platform, including for promotion and advertising opportunities.
BPM is credited once per day — at 4:00 AM server time.
What activity gives users
Activity affects not only BPM, but also a user’s rating. The higher your activity and reputation, the greater your weight within the platform.
This may influence:
- your personal user rating;
- the weight of your vote in the DJ ranking;
- trust in your account;
- the visibility of your activity on the platform;
- the number of recommendations and plays your tracks may receive.
In simple terms: the more actively you participate in the life of Minatrix.FM, the more value you receive in return.
How artists can get more recommendations
If you upload music to Minatrix.FM, do not simply wait for a miracle. The algorithm sees the activity around your track.
We recommend:
- Upload your track with high-quality cover artwork.
- Fill in the track information as carefully as possible.
- Share the track link on social media.
- Ask listeners to leave a comment, like the track, or add it to a playlist.
- Post updates on your wall.
- Communicate with your audience and reply to comments.
- Do not upload tracks or materials that belong to someone else or violate copyright.
If your track receives its first plays, likes, comments, and reposts, the algorithm notices this activity and may increase the number of listening recommendations.
You recommend us — we recommend you. This is a fair exchange of activity that helps both the platform and artists grow.
How you can earn BPM
BPM can be earned through different types of activity on Minatrix.FM:
- posting on your own wall and on other users’ walls;
- commenting on tracks, news, and profiles;
- likes and dislikes;
- adding tracks to playlists;
- friend activity;
- profile completion;
- having an avatar uploaded;
- uploading your own music;
- plays, downloads, and comments on your tracks;
- selling music on the website;
- participation in the affiliate program.
Music authors receive especially high BPM rewards because the system takes into account not only the track upload itself, but also the ongoing activity around it: plays, downloads, playlist additions, comments, and other actions.
Premium accounts receive double BPM rewards.
Important note about deleting tracks
We do not recommend frequently uploading and deleting tracks. Deleting a track from the platform does not free up space in your profile. In addition, frequent deletions may be treated by the system as suspicious activity and may lead to account restrictions.
It is better to prepare your track, cover artwork, and description in advance than to upload material in a rush and delete it later.
Minatrix.FM grows together with you
We want Minatrix.FM to be more than just a music archive. We want it to be a living platform where artists can make themselves heard, listeners can discover new music, and active users can receive real benefits within the project.
Listen to music, support artists, write comments, leave likes, share tracks, and invite your friends. The more real activity there is on Minatrix.FM, the stronger the entire music ecosystem becomes.
Update the Android app, try the new features, and be sure to leave your suggestions for the future development of Minatrix.FM in the comments. We read your feedback and will take it into account in upcoming updates.
