DEMO is a popular Russian pop group that became a true musical phenomenon of the early 2000s. Their style blended a sunny atmosphere, light electronic rhythms, and catchy choruses, becoming a symbol of the dance pop era in Russia and across the CIS.
Formation and Early Days
The group DEMO was founded in 1999 by producer and composer Valery Sokolov, who wrote most of the project’s songs. The face and lead vocalist of the band was Sasha Zvereva — a charismatic and vibrant singer whose image perfectly reflected the spirit of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their collaboration quickly brought the project recognition and success.
