Адаптация стихотворения "Надежда" Константина Николаевича Батюшкова. Написано во второй половине 1815 года (часто указывают просто - осень 1815) в Каменце-Подольском (Бессарабия). Стихотворение впервые опубликовано в 1816 году в журнале "Вестник Европы". Позже текст вошёл в сборник "Опыты в стихах и прозе". Стихотворение отражает внутреннее состояние К.Н.Батюшкова того периода. В нём звучит мотив душевной апатии: герой стихотворения просыпается, но даже красота пробуждающегося мира не способна его развеселить. В основе - конфликт между внешней гармонией природы и внутренней пустотой, тревогой героя, а также мысль о том, что разум бессилен перед силой любви.
