Early Years: When Sound Met Code
Victor’s musical taste began forming in childhood. One of his earliest strong impressions was a cassette with the soundtrack from the film Mortal Kombat — a harsh, electronic, almost industrial aesthetic that revealed music as a world and a state of being. Later, he was influenced by the European club scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly the energetic house sound of Klubbheads.
Already during his school years, he performed as a DJ at parties, and in high school began organizing events independently. In 2003, after graduating from School No. 63 in Odesa, Victor immersed himself in programming, web design, graphics, and animation. It was during this period that the key connection of his entire biography took shape — music and IT as a unified creative space.
DJ Rem-x: Club Scene and First Recognition
Under the alias DJ Rem-x, Victor became a noticeable figure on the club scene of Odesa and Ukraine. He organized the Minatrix Party event series (archival video on YouTube), performed actively, participated in DJ battles, and gradually transitioned from DJ sets to original production.
In 2010, he won a friendly DJ battle and soon released the track “Women’s Emotion”, which became a turning point in his career. The track entered the Top 10 house tracks in Ukraine, was recognized at The Best House Track in Ukraine competition, and gained international distribution. During this period, other works were released as well, including Magic Story, Speed, and a number of club-oriented releases.
During the DJ Rem-x era, Victor actively collaborated with artists and musicians from various fields. Among them were Georgiy Deliev, Anastasia Bukina, the bands “Kacheli-Kacheli” and “Master Klass”, as well as DJs Maniak, Lemah, SuperEVG, and Alex Trefiloff. These collaborations shaped him as a scene-driven artist — live, collective, and based on shared experience.
Victor PROG: Reboot and the Philosophy of Progress
Since 2014, Victor has entered a new phase under the name Victor PROG. This was not just a rebranding, but a conscious reboot that coincided with a turning point in his personal life. The name PROG reflects several meanings at once: a love for progressive sound, his profession as a programmer, and a philosophy of constant development.
The V symbol in the logo became not only the first letter of his name, but also a symbol of inner strength. Despite negative associations with this symbol during the war in Ukraine, the decision was made to preserve the logo, defending its original meaning.

The music of Victor PROG is a blend of progressive house, techno, and elements of hip-hop, where genre boundaries are secondary to atmosphere and internal dramaturgy. His tracks are often built like short stories infused with personal experience.

In 2010, Victor founded Minatrix.FM — an online radio station that eventually evolved into a full-fledged music ecosystem. He personally developed the platform, combining the skills of a programmer and a producer, and turned Minatrix.FM into a space for independent artists, experimentation, and a living community.
Today, Minatrix.FM is not only a broadcast platform, but also a label, a media outlet, and a focal point for the new electronic scene. All new Victor PROG releases are published under his own Minatrix.FM label.
Bansik: Music and Creativity Beyond the Stage
A separate chapter in his biography is his involvement in the animated project “Bansik” — an original animated series with an author-created character and its own universe. Victor PROG took part in developing the musical and sound concept of the project, as well as in creative decisions related to atmosphere and storytelling.
The “Bansik” project became an example for him of how music, sound, and technology can operate beyond the club scene — in the format of storytelling and a visual world accessible to both children and adults.
