bulletrain (real name — Anton Minakov; born June 20, 1995) is a Russian music producer, composer and electronic music artist from Ufa. He works at the intersection of wave, experimental electronic music, witch house, electroclash and atmospheric dance music. He began releasing music under the bulletrain alias in 2024. He is known for tracks such as «mollydance», «back to life», «supreme» and «escapism», as well as collaborations with producer Skyfall Beats, including «changes», «unbroken», «whispers» and «empty room».
bulletrain’s music combines synthesizer melodies, electronic drums, dense basslines and spacious sound processing. His discography includes both rhythm-driven instrumental tracks and calmer, more atmospheric compositions. A significant part of his catalogue appears in multiple arrangements, including slowed versions.
Beginning of his music career
bulletrain’s first releases date back to 2024. During this period, the producer began building his own catalogue while collaborating with other artists from the independent electronic scene.
One of his early releases was «mollydance», issued on September 20, 2024 through Cresta La Cultura. The release contains two versions of the track — «mollydance (darkside)» and «mollydance (slowed)». The same musical idea is presented at different speeds, changing both the rhythmic movement and the way the melody is perceived.
Even at this early stage, bulletrain paid close attention to alternative treatments of his own recordings. This approach continued in later releases and became a noticeable feature of his discography.
Collaboration with Skyfall Beats
Collaboration with Ufa-based electronic producer Skyfall Beats (Artyom Maimeskul) occupies an important place in Anton Minakov’s work. Their joint releases began appearing in 2024.
On August 9, the pair released «U&I» through Cresta La Cultura, followed by the single «changes» on August 16. The latter has a more pronounced rhythmic foundation, running at 132 beats per minute. In October, the musicians continued working together with «i feel», a track lasting around three minutes.
The collaboration developed further in 2025. The single «unbroken» was released on January 31, followed by «BLVN», «empty room» and «whispers». Their joint releases appeared through Cresta La Cultura and IMMINENT.
«whispers», released on October 3, 2025, holds a particular place among these collaborations. Both producers — Anton Minakov and Artyom Maimeskul — are credited as songwriters, and both also served as producers on the recording. In 2026, the track received an additional release in the form of a remix collection.
The single «empty room», released on November 14, 2025 via IMMINENT, includes the original track and two alternative versions — «empty room (Slowed)» and «empty room (Ambient)». The latter takes a calmer approach to the arrangement, shifting the focus away from the drums toward atmospheric layers of sound.
Development of the project in 2025
In 2025, bulletrain expanded his discography with both solo material and collaborative releases. Tracks from this period include «nightmares (Remake 2025)», «shattered light», «burn», «electric love», «crystal soul» and «dragontattoo».
Another direction was his collaboration with artist plaguedoll. On August 8, 2025, the two musicians released the single «Drain». Anton Minakov and Sanzhar Sansuzbay are both credited as writers, while both artists are also listed as producers.
The same year also saw the release of slowed vol. III, a collaborative project by bulletrain and Skyfall Beats. It continued the series of slowed material already present in the Skyfall Beats catalogue and reinforced both artists’ interest in reinterpreting electronic tracks through changes in playback speed.
Musical characteristics
bulletrain’s music is difficult to confine to a single genre. The artist himself associates his work with Angelcore, EDM, Dance, Electroclash and Witch House. At the same time, some of his collaborations with Skyfall Beats are closer to melodic wave and atmospheric electronic music.
The relationship between melody and rhythm plays an important role in his compositions. Synthesizer parts are often built around short repeating phrases, with additional sounds gradually layered on top. Basslines add weight and density to the arrangements, while reverb and delay create a sense of space.
The producer also uses differences in tempo as an expressive device in their own right. Slowed versions alter the perceived duration of notes and the character of melodic transitions. As a result, these releases function not simply as supplements to the originals, but as distinct interpretations of the same musical material.
This approach can be heard particularly clearly in releases such as «mollydance», «empty room», «supreme» and «back to life». Several of these tracks exist in multiple versions, each offering a different way of experiencing the same musical idea.
2026 releases
In 2026, bulletrain continued releasing solo material. His catalogue expanded with «supreme», «escapism», «back to life» and «innerisland», each presented alongside slowed versions.
His collaboration with Skyfall Beats also continued. Joint releases from this period include «broken», «frozen» and «ghost of you».
On October 16, 2026, the musicians released the single «ghost of you» featuring British singer Kate McGill. In addition to the main version, the release included slowed and heavily slowed interpretations of the track.
bulletrain’s music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other digital platforms. His discography continues to develop through both solo compositions and collaborative work, particularly with Skyfall Beats. The project’s most distinctive characteristics remain the combination of melodic electronic music with experimental sound processing and the use of multiple versions of the same composition.
