2hollis (Hollis Frazier-Herndon; born January 5, 2004, in Chicago) is an American singer, rapper, electronic musician, songwriter and producer. His music combines electropop, experimental hip-hop, electroclash, EDM, rage and other forms of contemporary electronic music. He first built a notable audience online and within the independent scene following the albums White Tiger (2022) and 2 (2023). Wider recognition came with the album boy and touring with Ken Carson in 2024. In 2025, 2hollis released the album star through Interscope.
Childhood and early musical development
Hollis was born in Chicago and moved to Los Angeles at around the age of ten. His father, John Herndon, is the drummer of the post-rock band Tortoise and also records electronic music under the name A Grape Dope. His mother, Kathryn Frazier, founded the music PR agency Biz 3 and was involved in establishing the label OWSLA together with Skrillex.
Hollis began making music as a teenager. He taught himself music-production software, recorded vocals and experimented with rap and electronic music. Although his parents’ professional careers gave him direct exposure to the music industry, from the beginning he built his own recordings around home production and internet releases.
Drippysoup and early recordings
From around 2018, Hollis released music under the name Drippysoup. His early material combined cloud rap, experimental hip-hop, electronic textures and a fantasy-oriented visual aesthetic. He later adopted 2hollis as his primary stage name.
Before his first widely available albums, he released several smaller projects, including Game World, Tree, Meta, the mixtape The Jarl, the collaborative EP As Within, So Without with kimj, and Finally Lost. Some of these early works were later removed from official pages and survived mainly through user archives.
White Tiger
On August 11, 2022, White Tiger was released, the first full-length 2hollis project to become established in his main discography. It included «gate», «king of the darkness», «give it up», «i do», «actor», «white tiger», «raise», «safety» and other tracks.
The music from this period was still closely connected with experimental rap and the artist’s early internet aesthetic, but synthesizers and electronic processing had already become central to his sound. White Tiger was the first project to bring 2hollis significant attention beyond his original audience.

The second album, 2, was released on May 11, 2023. Compared with White Tiger, the music became more dance-oriented, with electroclash, house and electropop taking on a larger role, while rap was increasingly used as one element of the arrangement rather than the foundation of every track.
One of the album’s best-known songs was «poster boy», later included on the soundtrack to EA Sports FC 24. This significantly expanded the musician’s audience.
Following 2, the tracks «whiplash / cliche» and «jeans» were released separately. They are not part of the album, despite contrary information that appears in some biographies. «Jeans» gradually became one of the most recognizable songs from 2hollis’s early period and was regularly performed live.
boy and the 2024 breakthrough
The third album, boy, was released on June 7, 2024. 2hollis wrote and produced it himself. The record included «you once said my name for the first time», «two bad», «sister», «crush», «i saw it flash before me», «say it again», «teenage soldier», «lie», «promise», «light» and other tracks.
On boy, the electronic side of his music became considerably more prominent. Melodic vocals sit alongside distorted synthesizers, abrupt dynamic shifts, club rhythms and sections close to rage and hyperpop. The compositions often change structure while they are unfolding, moving from restrained vocal passages into dense electronic climaxes.
In the summer of 2024, 2hollis toured Europe and then joined rapper Ken Carson as an opening act on the American leg of the Chaos Tour. These performances substantially increased his audience, particularly among listeners connected with contemporary internet and rage scenes.
Gold and Interscope
On October 4, 2024, 2hollis released the single «gold», issued with the involvement of Interscope Records. The track continued the development of his harder live-oriented sound: heavy bass and aggressive electronic processing were combined with rap vocals and a dance rhythm.
By the end of 2024, the musician had completed the transition from small internet releases to international touring and work with a major label.
Afraid and Style
On January 30, 2025, 2hollis and his longtime friend Nate Sib released the collaborative single «afraid». The track was produced by 2hollis, with both musicians contributing vocals.
On February 28, «style» followed, a short track with a more pronounced rap delivery. The song was not included on the album star.
star
On April 4, 2025, 2hollis released his fourth studio album, star, his first full-length project issued under license to Interscope Records. The album contains 15 tracks: «beginning», «flash», «cope», «you», «tell me», «destroy me», «burn», «girl», «dream rain sports», «nice», «nerve», «ego», «sidekick», «eldest child» and «safe».
Compared with boy, the sound became more focused while retaining abrupt transitions, a heavy low-end spectrum and the combination of club electronics with pop melody. The album also includes more intimate moments. The clearest example is «eldest child», which is built around acoustic guitar.
2hollis once again wrote and produced most of the material himself, although he worked with producer Jonah Abraham on several tracks. In this respect, star differs from the fully self-produced process behind the previous album.
Live performances
In 2025, 2hollis performed at major festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza, while also touring North America and Europe.
Live versions of his songs usually sound harder than their studio counterparts. Setlists combine material from boy and star with earlier tracks such as «jeans», «poster boy» and «whiplash».
Hurt
On July 22, 2026, 2hollis released the single «Hurt» through Interscope Records. He directed and edited the music video himself, continuing to take responsibility not only for music production but also for the visual presentation of his releases.
Musical style
2hollis’s music cannot be confidently placed within a single genre. His early recordings were dominated by cloud rap and experimental hip-hop. Later, electroclash, electropop, house and EDM moved to the forefront. Individual tracks also incorporate elements of rage, hardstyle, future bass and hyperpop.
A defining feature of his production is the sharp contrast between melodic vocal lines and dense electronic processing. Arrangements are often built around sudden changes in intensity: a minimalist passage can shift into a heavily distorted synthesizer section or a powerful dance rhythm.
Rap remains part of his musical language but does not define his work as a whole. The balance between rap, pop vocals and electronic music changes from album to album, which is why 2hollis is more often viewed as a genre-blending electronic artist rather than exclusively as a rapper.
