Ana Danch — a Ukrainian singer and songwriter from Lviv whose music blends contemporary pop, folk influences and elements of EDM. The artist’s real name is Ulyana Myroslavivna Danchul, maiden name Latyk. She was born on November 16, 1987, in Lviv.
Ana Danch’s musical journey began in childhood. She started taking vocal lessons at the age of seven and first appeared on stage at the age of nine. Early stage experience, participation in competitions and a deep love for the Ukrainian song tradition shaped her into an artist with an expressive vocal style, emotional delivery and a distinctive creative identity.
During her artistic development, the singer took part in numerous national and international vocal competitions and festivals. Among them were «Song Vernissage», «On the Waves of Svityaz», «Chervona Ruta», «Black Sea Games», «Azov Sails», «Young Galicia», «Hope», «Musical Toloka», «Crystal Lark», «Evenings over the Latorytsia», «Pearl of the West of the 21st Century», «On the Wings of Childhood», «New Song in Old Krakow», «Christmas Bells», «Volodymyr-Volynskyi» and others. This experience became an important foundation for her professional stage presence and confident sound.
In 2004, Ulyana graduated from Secondary School No. 29 in Lviv. From 2004 to 2006, she studied at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, at the Institute of Film and Television, majoring in «Announcer, Television Presenter, Actor». Her education in television and acting helped the artist combine vocal expressiveness with a strong sense of stage, camera and public image.
In 2005–2006, Ulyana was the lead vocalist of the group «Desert», and in 2006–2007 she was the lead vocalist of the group «Tryshi». Working in musical groups gave her experience in live performance, studio work and direct interaction with audiences.
In addition to her musical career, Ana Danch has also worked in television and production. From 2012 to 2014, she was a TV presenter and executive producer at Ukrainian Fashion Channel. From 2016 to 2021, she was involved in the creation and promotion of City Life TV, a television channel for the HoReCa industry. She is also the author of two television programs — «Life by Liana» and «Children and the City» — which aired on «Pershyi Zakhidnyi» and City Life TV.
In 2021, the artist resumed her active music career under the stage name Ana Danch. This new chapter in her work brought together personal experience, a modern pop sound, folk intonations and the desire to present Ukrainian music in a contemporary format.
In her songs, Ana Danch explores themes of love, femininity, inner strength, memory and Ukrainian identity. Her music combines melody, sincerity and a modern approach, while folk elements give her compositions a distinctive national character.
